AVB has been Sacked I like AVB and think he should given a bit more time. The like of Fergie didn't deliver instantly and took sometimes to harvest..
"AVB made his mistakes just as he did at Chelsea by trying to change things too quickly, however yet again Daniel Levy has shown he's too ruthless and doesn't understand that Spurs have no right to be a title challenging team. Since taking over as chairman he's
sacked George Graham and appointed Hoddle
sacked Hoddle and appointed Santini
Santini left within 3 months and Jol takes over
sacks Jol despite Spurs finsihing 5th and 5th in his first 2 seasons
appoints Ramos who wins a cup then sacks him 9 months later
Appoints and then sacks Redknapp who takes them to 4th, 5th, 4th and turns Bale from a reject into a world class player
Appoints AVB, gives him 150mill to spend in 15 months then sacks him while only 5 points from 4th, in the League cup quarters and having a 100% win record in the Europa league
The facts remains, it's Levy's judgement that should be called into question- Hoddle wasn't given the funds, Jol was just going through a bad patch, Ramos had barely any time to stamp his own philosophy on the team, Redknapp had just taken them to 4th and had one of the most exciting teams in Europe (Bale, VDV, Modric, Adebayor), and AVB had lost his best player, and his new players hadn't yet gelled.
Now there's talk of Capello (who needs funds to compete and hardly did a good job of England did he), Hoddle (hardly moving forward by appointing a man you sacked 12 years ago), or Laudrup who up until last season had proven to be an average- failing manager at Getefe, Spartak Moscow and Mallorca. Maybe the next person out of Spurs should be the trigger happy chairman."

Even Fergie could be sacked if he was working under Levy.

It's not easy to forecast or select a replacement for AVB but it obviously needs to be done. I don't think that Tim Sherwood has the management experience to deal with multi-million pound players, multi bureaucracies and the competition of the Premiership.
What worries me is that any new coach coming in will automatically has reasons not to succeed with instant results - he would inherit a host of pricey players that were obtained by Baldini and AVB. He would therefore require time to build or select his own players and thus we would be back to the ''Give Him Time'' issue.
Spurs has recruited (and fired) a host of managers since the days of Keith Burkinshaw. Many of them were not up to the job - at least at the level of getting Spurs into the top 4, but a few were. And then there was the few that were never given enough time to do their job. Will AVB fit into that category? That's what the fans here and everywhere else will debate for a while no doubt.

What were the destiny of those so-called "popular" managers or those who did a decent good job, e.g. El Tel, Jol and Redknapp? If I were Laudrup or De Boer, I would rather not to risk that hot-seat.
